BA, MA, PhD candidate

Position

Research Assistant

Educational Background

  • 2010 MA in Archaeology, Department of Archaeology, Faculty of Philosophy, University of Belgrade
  • 2009 BA in Archaeology, Department of Archaeology, Faculty of Philosophy, University of Belgrade

Research Interests

My research interests include archaeozoology and archaeology of Palaeolithic hunter-gatherers, and interpretation of their subsistence strategies. By studying how humans manipulated ecosystems in the past, it is possible to gain better understanding of human behaviour and lifestyle in the course of their foraging activities. Animal bone taphonomy presents a specific field of my expertise, whose main task is to identify different factors of bone accumulation and destruction, and ascribe them to their biotic and abiotic agents, making it possible to separate and define human activities more precisely in a temporal context where permanent human residence was not practiced.
